Inspirational Quotes By Dr. Bob Jokiman (Alumni)
"Now is the accepted time, not tomorrow, not some more
convenient season. It is today that our best work can be done
and not some future day or future year. It is today that we
fit ourselves for the greater usefulness of tomorrow. Today is
the seed time, now are the hours of work, and tomorrow comes
the harvest and the playtime."
-- W.E.B. Du Boiis

Today's Inspirational Quote:
Worship is our response to the overtures of love from the heart of the Father. Its central reality is found 'in spirit and truth.' It is kindled within us only when the Spirit of God touches our human spirit. Forms and rituals do not produce worship, nor does the disuse of forms and rituals. We can use all the right techniques and methods, we can have the best possible liturgy, but we have not worshipped the Lord until Spirit touches spirit.

"We come to love not by finding a perfect person, but by
learning to see an imperfect person perfectly."

I am tired of hearing the words "I can't". Jeremiah said, "I am a child"; but the Lord didn't pat him on the back and say;"Jeremiah, that is very good, I like that in you; your humility is beautiful." Oh no!
God didn't want any such mock humility. He reproved and rebuked it. I do not like the humility that is too humble to do as it is bid. When my children are too humble to do as they are bid, I pretty soon find a way to make them. I say, "Go and do it!" The Lord wants us to "go and do it".

Grant me, O Lord, to know what I ought to know,to love what I ought to love, to praise what delights Thee most, to value what is precious in Thy sight, to hate what is offensive to Thee. Do not suffer me to judge according to the sight of my eyes, nor to pass sentence according to the hearing of the ears of ignorant men; but to discern with a true judgment between things visible and spiritual, and above all, always to inquire what is the good pleasure of Thy will.
Thomas a Kempis
